Standard Text to Speech is available to all readers on all plans.
Which plans include streaming Realistic Voices?
Streaming Realistic Voices are available to Advanced and Power readers on Web, Android, and iOS.
Are downloadable Realistic Voices available to all plans?
Yes. Some downloadable models are available to Free, Casual, Advanced, and Power readers on supported Android and iOS devices.
Do streaming Realistic Voices require internet?
Yes. Streaming Realistic Voices are streamed while you listen, so an active internet connection is required.
What languages are supported by Realistic Voices?
American English, British English, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish , French, Hindi, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese.
What is BookFusion Voice?
BookFusion Voice is an Android text-to-speech engine for downloadable AI voices. Once a voice is downloaded, speech synthesis runs fully offline on your device.

Do I need BookFusion Voice?
No. BookFusion Voice is not required for Standard Text to Speech.
Can I change playback speed?
Yes, on supported platforms and listening modes. See Playback Controls.
Can I change voices?
Yes, if more than one voice is available on your device or plan. See Playback Controls.
Don't see the correct language when you select a voice or start playback?
i) Go to the bookshelf
ii) Click on the book cover
iii) Click Edit and set the correct language for the book
You should then see voices for the language configured on that book.
What if I do not see Realistic Voices?
Check your plan, platform, app version, and device support. See Access and Plans for full availability details.
